Ocean Type Of Boat Transport

By Raymond Ross

There are various ways in which transportation takes place. Some of this was include the boat transport. This system is mainly used in areas where they have access to the water bodies. This system has also been viewed as a sport or a recreational activity that a willing person can engage in.

Transportation with the use of boats is also referred to as sea transport. It was widely used in the olden days before most countries were colonized such as Kenya. Boats were not widely known and as such, people viewed them as a very expensive method of transportation.

This system operates on a natural type of level where no payments are made in its travelling. Only the host country will demand some taxes for using its natural resources but will be allowed to travel through it. Since this is a natural source of travelling, it is thus considered as a cheap method in contrast with other modes.

This kind of method is mainly used since it is cheaper than other forms of carriage. Since it operates on a natural shipping system which is the water, it will reduce the amount of money used in maintenance of surfaces used such as in the case of road. One has to maintain the vehicles used during the transportation as well as the roads that are being used.

The other method of shipping which is the overseas shipping method is a method that uses various types of vessels in conducting its day to day activities. Some of the vessels may include the liners tankers and the tramps. The liners have a fixed routine that they should follow when conducting their activities.

It also has an advantage since it is safer than the other types of ways that are used in moving the goods and services. This is mainly because; there are fewer accidents that occur in the water as compared to the road. The breakdowns too are much more less as compared to it.

Their schedule on where to go or the amount of money that is to be charged is not also set for them. They sail when they are full but the liners can sail even if they are not full. The last type of vessel is the tankers. The tankers are designed in a special ways to carry goods or materials such as oil and petrol and gases. Their sizes are very huge and may continue expanding as the days go by.

This system has also some disadvantages that accompany them in their day to day lives. Some of the disadvantages include that it is slow than the other types of transporting systems. This is not suitable in cases where one is in a hurry to conduct an activity and will not choose this type of system. It also has a disadvantage of being limited since not all people have an easy access to where it is situated.
