A consultant should have a license that gives them the authority to exercise their powers in any state and also a certificate from legal and know institutions that show they have undergone the necessary training and that they are fit to do the job required.
Have a fixed fee and a well laid way in which you charge your fee. Most people prefer doing in depending on the number of hours that one works but it will depend on the kind of experience that you have.
